Being a Sunday and having the whole family at home, I thought I would make something sweet to have after our lunch. Though I was quite busy today, this simple and easy dessert popped up my mind. When checked for the ingredients, fortunately I had all that I wanted. So then thought, why not give a try.
This is my first attempt with a Panna Cotta and my family just loved it. My kids were after me, right from the time I kept this for setting. Making a dessert when kids are around is tough, for the only reason…..they have no patience….lol They need it immediately……Somehow I managed to get this set and also them to sleep for now, promising that when they wake up, everything will be ready for them….
I made it in a small batch, you could make alterations as per your requirements.
This is very simple and if you have any guests coming up with short notice, this is the perfect dessert you your make.
Serves – 3-4 servings
Fresh cream – 1 Cup
Milk – 1 Cup
Castor Sugar – 1/2 cup
Vanilla Essence – 1 tbsp
Gelatin – 2 tsp
Pinch of salt
. Soak gelatin with cold water and keep aside for about 30 minutes. Or just follow the pack instructions.
. In a deep bottom pan, mix all the other ingredients and bring to a boil.
. When warm , add in the gelatin and mix well till all the gelatin is dissolved.
. Pour them into small dessert cups or any other moulds of your choice and refrigerate for about 3-4 hours. ( If you need them urgently, put them in the freezer, that is what I did …lol..)
. To serve, slightly warm the bottom of the vessel and flip onto a serving plate.
. Garnish as per your choice. We had it with chocolate sauce and cashews.
. Sit back and Enjoy………….
