It`s been some time since I could blog. A bit held up with my works and of course my son had his exams and was totally held up with it. Finally it is over and vacations have started. Gosh.. now it is time for more foods to be prepared as these little tummies need to be full all the time….lol..
As Easter is here, this time I though I would share something special that could be tried for Easter. A simple chicken recipe that is tasty and great for a feast. Do try it and have a great Easter.
Serves – 5-6
Ingredients
Boneless chicken breasts pieces pat dried – 6 pieces
Honey – 1/2 cup
Soya sauce – 1/2 cup
Water – 1 cup
Corn startch – 2 tbsp
Ground Ginger – 1/2 – 1 tsp
Red pepper flakes – 1/2-1 tsp
Roasted sesame seeds – 1 tbsp
Method
. Cut chicken breasts into thin strips. In a hot pan , spray some oil and cook the chicken untill no longer pink.
. Mix together honey, soy sauce,corn starch,ginger, and red pepper flakes.Whisk till no lumps of corn starch appear.
. Pour the sauce mixture to the chicken in the pan. Cook untill sauce thickens slightly.
.If the sauce becomes too thick, then add a little water . Add some salt.
. Sprinkle the sesame seeds.Cover and cook till chicken absorbs the sauce.
. Serve hot along with rice or roti or even some steamed veggies it is great.
