This is totally my own creativity. Last day I had only two burgers left out and I needed to make something for noon for the four of us. I thought for a while and opened up my fridge, bought out all the ingredients in there and gave a try for a new innovative recipe that just popped up my mind. The outcome was great !!!
Simple and great this is and it was a hit in my family. Should give a try…
Serves – 3-4
Burgers – 2-3 nos
Onion – 1 cup finely chopped
Garlic – 2-3 cloves chopped finely
Ginger – 1 1/2 tsp finely chopped
Green Bell pepper – 1/2 cup cut in small cubes
Tomatoes – 1/2 cup cut in small cubes
Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
Black Pepper powder – 2 tbsp ( depends on the amount of spiciness you want )
Tomato Sauce – 4 tbsp
Red Chilly flakes – 1 tsp
Coriander Leaves – 1/2 cup
. Fry the burgers and keep it aside. Once cool, cut them into small pieces.
. In a hot skillet, some oil, saute the onions, garlic , ginger and the green pepper. When Onion become translucent, add in the tomatoes and saute till tender.
. When tomatoes become soft, add in the turmeric powder, pepper powder, tomato sauce, chilly flakes and stir well.
. To this add the burger pieces and little coriander leaves and give a good mix.
. Leave at low flame for 2-3 mins and then take off from heat.
. Garnish with coriander and serve hot.
Could be served as side dish along with rice or chapattis ( Indian bread), could be used as sandwich or wrap fillings.
