A great snack and side dish for any occasions, are these Tuna Patties. It is loved equally by the big and small and is very delicious. Simple to make and could be stored also for many days.
Serves – 3-4
Tuna Fish – 3 -4 cans
Onion – 1/2 cup finely chopped
Ginger – 1 1/2 tbsp finely chopped
Green Chilly – 3-4 nos finely chopped
Curry leaves – 4-5 nos finely chopped
Potatoes – 1 big or 2 small ones, boiled
Eggs – 2 nos
Bread crumbs for coating
. Boil potatoes and keep aside.
. In a hot pan, pour some oil. In to the hot oil, add the onions, green chilies, ginger, curry leaves and saute well. When onions turn translucent, add salt and saute. when they are done, add the tuna and mix well.
. Once the water content is evaporated and the tuna mix gets a little dry, take of from heat.
. Let is cool. Add the cooked potatoes and mix well.
. Take a spoon full of the mixture and make patties with your palm.
. Beat eggs in a bowl and keep bread crumbs on a flat plate.
. Dip the patties in egg and then roll on the bread crumbs and deep fry the patties.
. Serve hot with tomato sauce or with any meal.
