A simple snack that could served at any time of the day or even when you have very short notice for guest visits. Simple to make, yet very yummy to have.
Serves – 5-6
Ripe Bananas – 6-7 medium sized
Wheat Flour – 3 cups
Jaggery or brown Sugar – 1 1/2 cups
Salt – a pinch
Water – sufficient to make the batter
Oil for frying
. Squash the bananas well and keep aside.
. In a deep bowl, mix the flour, salt, jaggery, squashed bananas and water and make the batter to a smooth consistency. Do not make it to watery.
. Heat oil in a pan and drop a tbp spoon full of the batter and deep fry.
. Serve hot.
Note – You can make this even without any fruit, just the batter alone will also get you good , tasty fritters.
