Last day, when I did not have much time for my breakfast, I just grabbed a snack bar that was available in my fridge and rushed out. Once back, I just gave a thought to read the ingredients and tried my version of a simple snack bar that is less in fat and high in protein and keeps you healthy and fit.
Serves – 6-7
Cooking Oats – 3 cups
Cinnamon – 1 tsp
Cloves – 1/4 tsp
Dates coarsely chopped – 3/4 cups
Apricots coarsely chopped – 3/4 cups
Apple butter – 1 cup
Sugar – 1 tbsp
. Preheat oven to 350 F .
. Mix all the ingredients, except sugar in a bowl and spread them on a baking pan and pat it even.
. Sprinkle sugar on the surface and bake it for about 2 minutes.
. When hot, cut into small pieces and serve or it could be stored for further use in the freezer.
